So, lets get straight to the point. Anyone who's not living under a rock knows about the whole "shocking" stunt by Kim Kardashian as she posed nude for a magazine cover. It's all that everyone is talking about right now and it's one of the top trending topics all over the Internet.
Now, question is, what is so shocking about this? Kim has always been a bit (understatement of the year) "Open" and those aware of her sex tape stunt wont really think this is a mouth-hanging-open moment. And so many other celebrities have done full frontal nudity both in films, videos as well as for magazines and stuff - like Miley Cyrus (no surprises there), Kate Moss for Lui magazine, Heidi Klum for German GQ, Miranda Kerr for British GQ, Naomi Campbell for Love magazine, Serena Williams for ESPN the Magazine .. oh God! I can go on and on and on.. not just the female celebrities the male celebs too.
C'mon people, by now is something like this a hot topic? I believe we are all bored with people baring their bodies as a publicity stunt, or to prove that they are in control of their body image , or as a manner of empowerment etc etc. I'm not saying nobody is entitled to do that, people can do whatever hell they please with their body 'coz its their personal choice and they are doing so from free will - they are consenting adults, and these magazines and movies aren't coercing them to do it, and these celebs get paid realllly well too.
As for this having hurting someone's sensibilities - if you don't like it, don't look at it. Problem solved. I mean seriously. Kim Kardashian's huge butt in on display and ...??! in a fortnight its all going be forgotten and the next big thing comes around - pun intended.
The kind of hype surrounding this is ridiculous. But it does boost the sale and viewership of the respective magazine, more than their original promotional campaign. Way to go, Internet! You have made more gullible people fall for the same ol' tricks.
I wish people spoke as much about world issues and create this huge wave of awareness and interest as much as Kim Kardashian and her Paper magazine cover has created!
