Severus Snape

First of all let us get this outta the way - I'm NOT a big Harry Potter fan. I have read the books, seen the movies , I think J.K Rowling has amazing talent - to create this beautiful mysterious magical place - super creative.

So , yeah. Coming to Severus Snape. He is that one character who stays with us long after the book we read is over. That one character we have grown to love so much . DArk, silent, evil yet good, brave , loyal , loving , faithful ... a hero who never got what he deserved while he was alive. I weeped.. yes, weeped, like crazy when he died and his memmories were revealed. I felt so guilty for having misjudged him and hated him here and there when he really was one of the best characters in the book.

In the movie, the scene where  he shows Dumbledore that he still loves lily- he says 'always' and sends his patronus galloping out- always.... heartbreaking. He was so deeply in love with her , since childhood and even after her death he remained loyal to her, loving her and sacrificing his life for her.
When she died, his grief turned the patronus into something of her that he could remember - his love for lily was projected in his patronus as it matched hers , his initial patronus transformng and taking the form of her patronus - a doe, since he had an incredibly strong love connection .

Sigh! To have that kind of love!!

Also my heart goes out to his painful and neglected childhood, the bullying, losing the girl he loved so deeply since he couldnt get the nerve to go up to Lilly and tell her he loved her, and she was the good girl who fell for the popular guy. A tragic story of unrequited love.

But i'l always love Snape. He's one of my favorite forever characters.
